Volvo Retail Design, Planning and Standards.
As the iconic Swedish manufacturer driver forward its positioning as a luxury brand, our work ensures the retail experience can deliver on this promise - both to customers with their new expectations, and for dealerships balancing investment and return.
Volvo’s retail network comprises some 100 sites across the UK and our work spans that entire estate.
Through our 'Red, Amber, Green' planning process we initially set out to support the facilities management team, helping them to progress a refresh programme. This entailed both refurbishing sites, extending others and developing new points of representation.
This activity was supported on the ground, at dealership meetings and in detail negotiations using our Retail Planning Tool and network development and business experience.
More recently, with the introduction of the new retail design standards - Volvo’s ‘VRE’ - we worked with Volvo Car Global to both domesticate the concept for the UK market and sharpen and enhance specifications, details, planning adjacencies and operational-efficiencies for both Sales and Aftersales.
We also produce both architectural and design guidelines for Volvo Car UK and Volvo Car Global, including specifications for procurement and project management. Meda are retained consultants for Volvo Car UK and work in an advisory capacity on a daily basis.
