Meda project management team were tasked with the delivery of the new global HQ and factory for Caterham cars. This involved the management of the full client-side design team under one single contract giving Caterham a single point of design and management responsibility.
Working to a tight schedule we obtained planning and landlords consent whilst twin tracking the production and compilation of full technical design for a robust design and build contract. The fit-out needed careful consideration to ensure the Landlords' consent was intact and new mezzanine floor space could be added using lightweight structure that did not impact the lease conditions surrounding existing concrete floor slabs.
We produced all contract documents and managed the pre-qualification, tender, award and contract administration for the build contract.
During the process Meda had to manage the design teams solutions of the numerous technical challenges as well as ensuring budget compliance and all statutory consents were achieved.
